```
import torch

# does not crash
a = torch.rand((0), device="cpu")
b = torch.rand((0), device="cpu")
a.dot(b)

# crashes due to internal assert
a = torch.rand((0), device="mps")
b = torch.rand((0), device="mps")
a.dot(b)

```
